Which Material Crystal Ball
is Right for ME?
Flame, Foundry and Forge offers both 22% Lead Crystal and Reformulated Quartz Crystal Balls.
Leaded Crystal balls are somewhat less expensive than the reformed Quartz balls. The optical properties of the Leaded Crystal are not quite as sharp as the Quartz balls. However, most people would never know the difference. All of the Crystal Balls we offer are very high quality; either should be a great choice unless your specific needs require the Quartz crystal structure.
Which Size Crystal Ball
is Right for ME?
With such a range in prices and sizes, how do I know which size crystal ball I should choose?
The answer depends on what use you intend the ball for, but basically; bigger is better! It's often best to get the largest you can afford. Take a look at the photograph below:

(8" Ball not pictured.)
A one inch difference doesn't seem all that much when you hear it described, but when you actually see the difference, it's huge! Consider that a one inch increase isn't just in width. Crystal balls are round globes. An increase in one dimension must be reflected in all dimensions, so the increase in size is exponential. Here's another view of the same five crystal balls, but seen from higher up.

Notice how much more light is brought into and reflected from the largest ball, how much of the table is maginifed, and how much magnification it shows. Quite a difference, isn't it?
Take your intended use into consideration, and choose the ball that's right for you!
A Safety Note: Crystal balls should not be displayed in full sunlight. Due to their magnifying powers, it is possible that a fire may start! This is especially important with larger size crystal balls. Please use caution in placing your crystal ball.
